Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope)

Remember when I asked where the heck this guy was? Well, Shinichiro Watanabe, the director of some of my favorite anime, (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) has finally returned! And this time paired up with none other than Yoko Kanno!

Just look at this staff list, the entire team is made of win! You've got not only Watanabe and Kanno, but Nobuteru Yuuki (Vision of Escaflowne, Chrono Cross) designing the characters.

It will be out in April, and I hope it gets on Crunchyroll!
